MUMBAI: Spinner Harbhajan Singh who left many a batsman stumped with his tricks, was stumped by his electricity bill on Sunday. ‘Bhajji’ was shocked to receive a bill of Rs 33,900 from Adani Electricity for his Santacruz home.
Singh tweeted about it on Sunday, after which Adani officials got in touch with him. Singh is among several celebrities voicing complaints about hefty power bills on social media. Later, many said they were approached by power firms and were ‘convinced about the calculations done in the bill’.

An Adani official told TOI about Singh’s case, “We saw his Twitter message and immediately checked the power consumption in his house. We have also contacted him and explained that there was nothing wrong with the bill. He seems to have been convinced.”
