CHANDIGARH: With the recoveries of 433 patients, the overall numbers (for recoveries) of Covid-19 patients in Haryana reached 20,226, even as 694 new patients and six deaths took Haryana’s Covid tally and death toll to 26,858 cases and 355 deaths respectively.
With this the recovery rate in state has been recorded at 75.31% and there are total 6,277 active patients in the state including 165 critical patients out of whom 132 are on oxygen support. The Covid positive rate in the state has gone up to 5.96% and death rate at 1.32%.
Notably, NCR districts continue to dominate as regards new patients as well as the patients who have recovered so far. Haryana’s health minister Anil Vij too hoped a successful trial of the vaccine at PGIMS Rohtak.
“Our effective monitoring and early and quick diagnosis have contributed a lot to early detection and treatment leading to an impressive recovery rate of patients,” he said.
Gurugram tops the table with 7,857 patients
Meanwhile, enquires revealed that Gurugram had maximum 109 new patients of the day. Gurugram has also topped the table with 7,857 patients and 6,694 recoveries with 116 deaths. There are 1,047 active patients in the district.
After Gurugram, it was Faridabad which had 103 new patients which took the district total to 6,568 and 110 deaths. With 5,161 recoveries, the district has a total 1,297 active cases. Sonipat saw the third highest of 98 new patients with three deaths. Here the district total has gone up to 2,484 and 28 deaths.
With 75 new patients, total patient count in Rewari has gone up to 1,092 and 70 new patients in Ambala took the district count to 942. Palwal had 35 new patients, Jhajjar had 24 new patients and one death and Hisar had 23 new patients and one death. Karnal had 21 new patients and Mahindergarh had 20 new patients.
Fifteen new patients had come from Rohtak, 14 from from Fatehabad and 14 new patients from Panchkula. Bhiwani and Sirsa had eight new patients each while Kurukshetra, Jind, Kaithal and Charkhi Dadri had five new patients each. There was no update from Yamuanangar while Nuh had reported three new patients and one death.
Meanwhile, the testing rate in the state was recorded at 18,040 as total 457,310 persons have been tested so far while total 70,162 persons have completed the home or instutionla quarantine so far. There are total 52,160 persons under surveillance.
