NEW DELHI: Hyundai Motor on Tuesday launched the facelifted Tucson, starting at Rs 22.30 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). The flagship Hyundai SUV was first introduced in 2004 and has been through three generational upgrades. The Tuscon gets a bigger cascading grille with Penta-projector LED headlamps. The SUV sits on R18 alloy. The interior is all-black with a leather-stitched dashboard and floating type touchscreen. The updated BlueLink offers a host of connectivity features The all-wheel-drive SUV is powered by a 2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine. The petrol variant of the SUV will deliver a maximum power output of 152 PS and offer a peak torque of 192 Nm. The Hyundai Tucson also comes with a 2-litre,4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. The diesel variant will offer a maximum power output of 185 PS and 400 Nm. The 2020 Hyundai Tucson, which was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo, will be competing with the Tata Harrier and Jeep Compass in the Indian market. The 2020 Hyundai Tucson also marks the first virtual launch by the carmaker. Part of Hyundai’s ‘The Next Dimension’ line-up, the all-new Tucson is joined by new Hyundai Creta and the Hyundai Venue.
